DnD Helperis an independent Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 Edition reference and toolkit for players and DMs.

What we provide

Browse spells, feats, monsters, classes, skills, races, magic items, equipment, domains, deities, psionics, templates, and variant rules from official 3.5 sourcebooks. Use calculators and builders for encounters, leadership, magic items, strongholds, character planning, and more.

Sources and attribution

Entry text and statistics come from the compiled 3.5 compendium in our database, with source abbreviations and page numbers shown on each page where available. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast.

A few generators adapt published source from drow's code library. Each of those tool pages carries the license notice that package requires.

Tools

  • Campaign: Create a campaign table, invite players, attach characters, and share 3D dice rolls (including DM-only hidden rolls).
  • PC Planner: Plan player characters with a Fantasy Grounds character sheet, compendium feat and spell search, and automatic spell slot calculation.
  • Point Buy Calculator: Spend points on ability scores with a shareable budget and min/max range. Uses the DMG 8–18 table, with refunds below 8 and a house curve above 18.
  • NPC Creator: Build D&D 3.5 NPCs with archetypes and monster templates, preview a Fantasy Grounds–style sheet, and download importable FG XML.
  • Encounter Builder: Build encounters from the monster compendium, calculate EL, and save encounters for later.
  • Damage Statistic: Compare expected damage for two weapons by target AC. Pick catalog weapons, edit them like the PC Planner, enter BAB and ability scores or load a saved PC.
  • Turn Undead Calculator: Resolve turn undead checks and damage pool allocation for clerics and paladins using PHB Table 8-9.
  • Power Attack Calculator: Find the Power Attack penalty that deals the most expected damage against a target AC.
  • Stronghold Builder: Calculate stronghold cost, build time, and staff upkeep using the Stronghold Builder's Guidebook rules.
  • Magic Item Builder: Price magic weapons, armor, and shields with DMG rules plus Complete-series special abilities. Shows base item cost and total equivalent bonus.
  • Leadership Calculator: Calculate Leadership score, cohort level, and followers by level using PHB and Epic Leadership rules.
  • Random Spellbook: Generate a wizard spellbook and level-scaled wishlist from selected compendium sources, with optional specialization and reproducible seeds.
  • Treasure Generator: Roll Dungeon Master's Guide treasure by level: coins, gems, art, mundane gear, and magic items.
